Though I have a lot to catch up on over the last few months, we're signing off, saying good night to one of our most blessed years yet! Wonder what 2010 will bring!

Before and After
Mimi's hair dresser, Peggy, gave our oldest a much needed trim! Although I had to hold him and he refused to wear the black cape, he did a wonderful job waiting for her to give him a cut! She did a wonderful job explaining each step to him and ended with a sucker and a little bottle of water. We'll be back to her next time!

Happy Third Birthday, Little Love
Since we're planning his birthday for later in November, we decided to take him & two friends to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate with dinner. Then, we all went back home (these three and one little brother) and had a slumber party! We watched Cars and had ice cream & cupcakes before his third birthday came to an end.
We love you, sweet three year old.

Family Photos
Our attempt at a family Christmas Card picture! Still with a tripod {hence, the reason I look squished in the picture. I ran and jumped in!} Much, much better than last year!

Tackle Season
These boys love to play football. Some days they are Robert Griffin. Sometimes they are Joe Paw. Sometimes they are Jordan Lake. Sometimes they are someone I don't know!
Sometimes one of them is super tired. Super emotional. Super drained with strep and an ear infection. Sometimes one of them cries when they get tackled!

Have to Be Creative
When you have to wait around a lot for little brother to eat, nap, stop crying, one tends to become creative in their playing around the house and a parent becomes more open to new ideas! Creigther played with this medicine cup as his "dump truck" and watched it pour many gallons of water down our drain!

Feeding Birds & My Future Daughter-In-Law
Mimi always has something "fun" planned for Creighton to do during the days Daddy works in Abilene. Today they swept the sidewalk and fed the birds. Too bad it poured rain after the bread was tossed in the yard.
When we're in Abilene we get to see our sweet Ava Kate more often. Don't you think one of my boys need to claim her for a wife? She is a-dor-able!!! And of course, I love her parents.

Whatever Works!
Actually, whatever saves me time and, of course, keeps the boys happy! Griffin and Creighton got to take a shower tonight. The heat from the water keeps Griffin warm and Creighton loves to help wash his little brother clean! {The cup was not intentionally covering him up, but it works and he'll appreciate it in the years to come!}

Back in A-Town
We woke up before six, drove three hours back to Abilene for a funeral, in order to pick up Creighton, attend a birthday for Grandpa Spicer and drive three more hours back home. I should have taken a picture of us on the drive home, because it was a nightmare! Creighton had taken no nap for three days {big mistake} and couldn't get comfortable in the car seat to sleep. When he woke up after thirty minutes outside of Abilene, he wouldn't stop squealing and crying and moaning. We were all about to have a nervous breakdown before we arrived home at ten o'clock. No more traveling for a few months---or weeks!

Meeting Uncle Robert and Aunt Glenda for the first time at Mimi and Pop-Pops! He's not too sure about Uncle Robert...but none of us are!

Just the Two of Us
We left Creighton in Abilene since we basically came home to turn around and return tomorrow. While we were briefly home, I had a doctor's appointment and me and Griffin just hung out together. We had lots of quiet, quality time at home and then we went on a date with Daddy. Unfortunately, Benjie was on call and had to book shifts and find nurses during dinner and once our food arrived, Griffin woke up hungry. There is NO consoling him without milk and there is nothing worse than a screaming kid at dinner. We asked for a to-go box and headed home!
