Practice Makes Perfect

Creighton and I practiced swaddling his "babies" today in an attempt to get ready for Griffin. He loves to talk about things we'll do when Griffin gets here. In fact, he says, "Tell me more about me and Griffin. Show me what we'll do with him!"

I can't wait!

Progress Report

Creighton's weekly progress report from school. After a week of "playing" with potty training, I was proud to see Mrs. Charlotte's note under Potty Training.

Three Boys Equals A Mess!

We played with James and Jack today while their parents went to a funeral. James and Creighton were all hugs for Baby Jack. After I spent a few hours cuddling with him and learning a house of three boys will never be clean, I sure do look forward for the next three months to quickly pass as we wait to hold Baby Griffin in our arms.

B is for Big Boy Bed & Basketball

After going airborne two nights in a row, today's nap time was moved to Creighton's new big boy bed. Today that just consists of a mattress on the playroom floor, but hopefully before August 8th, the room will be converted into his very own. After he woke up from his two & a half hour nap in his big boy bed, we went to watch Daddy play basketball with his friends. They won and Creighton insisted on playing a little after the game.

A Unique Friendship

Today we made the trip to Weatherford to have lunch with some of our dear friends who were in our small group in Dallas, Marc & Diane. We also got to meet their tiny little girl, Andie Elizabeth! We sure do miss our friends and cherish the fellowship we had with one another!

So, it's not the best picture of the kids or us with our eyes squinted, but it's a memory worth keeping!

Number Two

Today is the second day Creighton has gone to the restroom, number two, in his potty.

He called out to me, "Mommy, I need to go potty!" So, I walked him into his bathroom and he sat on his potty until he was all finished. He got to pick out toy number two today for realizing before it was too late that he needed to use the restroom. (I think we're done with the toy buying though!)

And because this was the second time he'd gone in his potty and the second time I've had to clean out his little potty, we also picked up the toilet seat while we were picking out the toy! Enough of that cleaning out!

We've only had two little tinkle accidents in our pants today too!

Give Me A Break!

We went to playgroup for two hours playing outside at Tristan's house, then tooter and I went to Subway to get a picnic lunch and went to the park! This is what he did the entire way home and until he finally fell asleep!

Happy Earth Day!

The teacher in me had a full day from sun up to sun down of Mommy & Me Earth Day activities: picking up trash, making a model Earth, planting flowers, making a bird feeder, learning how to sort recyable items, and among others, reading children's books that correlate with our first theme day.

In the middle of our big day, this big boy decided to go poo-poo in the big potty! He also was able to pick out his "poo-poo prize" when he woke up from his nap.

Truth Be Told

This is my tooter in time out. Does it look like he's too concerned about his behavior? Today was a long day with a trying two year old & today he even went to school from 9:30-2:30!

Park Play

We walked over to the elementary school playground today in the little red wagon after nap time. Creighton loved roaming from play area to play area as we followed closely behind!

Parker's Party and Pappy & Mammy Visit

Today turned out to be a very busy Saturday! What was going to be a Potty Training Day, ended up much more fun with a party for Parker's 2nd Birthday and a much needed visit from Pappy & Mammy.I do find it humerous that Creighton and Tristan are the only ones hovering the table for their treat as Parker blows out his candles.

Parenting Problems

Yes, we let Creighton ride in the front seat of the truck! However, only when we drive down our street---well, and turn onto another one! We were taking our basketball goal to Parker's before we went to dinner with the Wilsons & Bryan and Bug, and well, sometimes you just bend the rules. Doesn't he look so happy? Isn't that what parenting is all about?

Double Date Night

Double because it's the second "date" night in a row. Double because we have TWO additional children. Double because it's double the fun when you're with your friends or helping their parents have some fun of their own! Benjie flying a kite with the boys. Little Reese's pieces hanging out in the kitchen with Kimbo!

Of course I tried to get a photo of all three kids, unsuccessful for sure!

Date Night

According to these little messes, Abilene is a "LONG" way. They both stayed fairly entertained for our three hour drive across Texas as they sat next to each other the entire way.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our first Easter egg hunt was sponsored by our first family social with our Sunday School Class. WOW! Griffin is looking large and man, my face, wow is all I can say!

Backing Those Bears

We had a wonderful time in the Big Apple supporting our Bears and sightseeing along the way! We were sad tonight they didn't win the championship game of the NIT, but we sure do love the road they took us on this year!
