Snips, Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

Today my sister and my sister-in-law along and four of my dear high school friends threw Griffin and me a baby shower in Abilene. He got some really cute things I can't wait to try when he arrives!

One Yard, Two Power Cars & Three Boys

We arrived in Abilene later this evening and the boys in their matching t-shirts entertained themselves with these power vehicles until we had to come in for bed!

Transformation

We spent the entire day, with the help of our two little toots, painting and preparing Creighton's room for his new big boy decor! His room is now my favorite room in the house!

Drop Off

My sister came to help me with Creighton's Big Boy Room and knowing that three boys would be a handful and pose a challenge for us to accomplish the task at hand, my parents surprised us and drove three hours to pick up Tristan, eat dinner, turn around and go back home. We were left with only the two little ones and a large job to complete in one day!

Summer School

School is back in session for the summer and Creighton had a {mostly} good report today! However, the teachers did say he never went to the bathroom, quoting "I will wait for my Mommy to come get me!" That's from 9:30-2:30 with lunch and a nap in between. The teacher also mentioned that Creighton and Colton will not be sleeping by each other in the coming weeks. Apparently, they talked the entire time. As noted on his short, thirty minute, nap!

Outing With Gigi

Nic watched Creigther Bug this morning so I could go to my doctor's appointment and when I came to pick him up, Gigi showed up to take Tristan. She even volunteered to take Creighton with her too! What a treat! They went to visit Pop-Pop at his office, ate lunch at Chick-fil-a, went to the Bear Pit, shopped at the Spirit Shop and then went to her house to play. While she entertained them, Nic and I took little Reese to lunch and shopped around some little baby boutiques.

A much needed outing with the girls and after his play date, Creighton slept until after six o'clock!

Happy Father's Day

Creighton and I were able to spend three meals with three of our favorite men in honor of Father's Day! We started our day with Pappy at a pancake breakfast at the restaurant of his choice, Grandys! After breakfast and lot of working at Pappy's house, we headed back to Mimi and Pop-Pop's for lunch and to load up our car. Pop-Pop selected fried chicken and an ice cream treat. (Two of the easiest Dad's to please with food!) After a three hour drive, we made it home to have dinner with our Daddy! He just returned from his week long fly-fishing trip to Colorado and we were so excited to see him. I should have taken a picture of them at dinner- since we ate out at McAllister's!

Wonder how much weight I've gained from eating out three times today---I'll find out tomorrow morning!

Music and Dance

Creighton and Memaw (my grandmother) learning the Chicken Dance! What a ham! After the Chicken Dance and a bit of a clean-up, Creighton went with Mimi and Pop-Pop next door for a bar-b-que and band. He loved the entertainment and didn't want to walk back home until his eyes could barely stay open!

Classifieds

Creighton came home from the grocery store with Mimi and brought along these Classified Ads. He and Pop-Pop enjoyed looking for a new truck in them as they ate their picnic lunch! I looked out the kitchen window and saw this...

Mr. Gatti's

Pappy and Mammy took us to Mr. Gatti's for dinner tonight and Creighton loved playing on all the games with Pappy. Mammy and I sat and talked! After five dollars of games, he cashed in his sixty tickets for a Laffy Taffy and a squishy ball!

Crusin'

Creighton and Baby Jack (the baby doll) going for a ride in our thirteen year old red sports car! These "two" boys played outside all day in the hot, hot temperatures. I also noticed that the license plate says, "Joe." Could that be where he found his imaginary friend? Can he read?

Splish Splashing

This little fish loved the water while he swam with Pop-Pop and Mommy at Mrs. Julie's house. He had no fear and jumped off the side and the steps over and over and over!

Super Club Sweethearts

We had supper club at our house tonight and the kids, despite the hot temperatures, loved being outside and hung out in the pool despite no water. Creighton loved being the only boy and all these little ones played so nicely together while the moms and dads sat inside and ate and talked way too late!

When You Gotta Go!

While we were eating dinner with our Sunday School teachers, Creighton was outside playing and had an emergency. I guess when you really have to use the restroom- and you're in the newer stages of potty training- you are allowed to drop your drawers- or all your clothes-and take a potty break outside!

Older Friends

You can learn a lot from older friends! Jackson came to play today and I was so impressed at how the boys didn't bicker or argue or fight. They played and played and played outside while I cleaned and cooked and prepared inside, watching from the kitchen windows, for the Salad and Dessert Sunday School Ladies Social at our house this evening.

By Day and By Night

When Holly came to stay the night, Creighton and Bella made good friends. In fact, some how they devised a new way to drive the mule...together!

Sarah and I took dinner to a former co-worker, who just so happens to live in "the country." Creighton and Jake came a long and Creighton got to feed the cows and pick vegetables from the garden. Who do you think wanted to go home?

Me and The Boys

Griffin has been a part of me for thirty one weeks, Creighton is thirty one months old (putting around on the mule), and as of today at my 31 week appointment, I've gained thirty one pounds!

The Only Way

We can only keep our three boys together if they are confined in front of the television playing Wii. Creighton actually loved the race car game and giggled, giggled, giggled when his car crashed into the objects or other drivers!

Tool Time Tot

Deacon's fourth birthday party was right up his alley: tools and building and fun with friends and family!

Big Bummer!

Benjie's truck had a MAJOR breakdown today: the transmission went out and unknowingly Creighton just forfeited the purchase of his swing set another few months!

Just A Little Playdate

When we moved our playgroup to Friday this summer, several of us mommies are in search of something to entertain our tots for Thursday. We've sorta decided to spend every day together!

When Did They Grow Up?

We went to the zoo today and instead of using the strollers for our kids, we used them to haul our bags! The kids ran free!

After a lunch at the zoo Cafe, Creighton and Brodie headed down to the spray park. Without coming prepared for this, we just took off his shirt and tennis shoes and let him play in his shorts and unders (since I always have an accident pair packed in our bag). My little one loves this place! I was a bit disgusted with no shoes on his feet and especially as he drank the water from the sprayer. I'm crossing my fingers he doesn't catch any virus or infection from his poor choices!
