At our supper club cook out & swim party, Creighton & Daddy went deep under while Griffin watched from the side.

Back in A-Town

We woke up before six, drove three hours back to Abilene for a funeral, in order to pick up Creighton, attend a birthday for Grandpa Spicer and drive three more hours back home. I should have taken a picture of us on the drive home, because it was a nightmare! Creighton had taken no nap for three days {big mistake} and couldn't get comfortable in the car seat to sleep. When he woke up after thirty minutes outside of Abilene, he wouldn't stop squealing and crying and moaning. We were all about to have a nervous breakdown before we arrived home at ten o'clock. No more traveling for a few months---or weeks!

Just the Two of Us

We left Creighton in Abilene since we basically came home to turn around and return tomorrow. While we were briefly home, I had a doctor's appointment and me and Griffin just hung out together. We had lots of quiet, quality time at home and then we went on a date with Daddy. Unfortunately, Benjie was on call and had to book shifts and find nurses during dinner and once our food arrived, Griffin woke up hungry. There is NO consoling him without milk and there is nothing worse than a screaming kid at dinner. We asked for a to-go box and headed home!

Five Generations

We added a new life to our 5 Generations! Griffin met Grandma Donald today at the donut shop!

We surprised Mammy on her birthday and journeyed to Abilene with the boys.

Meeting Memaw and Pawpa

Meeps and Peeps came to visit yesterday to meet Pawpa's {Robert Lewis} namesake, baby Griffin Lewis, and were royally entertained by big brother.

Wrapped Around His Finger

Creighton has had the privilege of having many of his favorite house guests in the last three weeks. He has been thoroughly entertained by family and tonight, Memaw and Pawpa came to town to stay with us. Apparently, he has them wrapped around his fingers for a hunting match!

2 Week Check-Up

Griffin was a trooper at his two week check up. He has gained some weight {from birth at 6 lbs. 9 oz. to 7 lbs. 7 oz.} and grown taller {from birth at 19 1/2 inches to 20 3/4 inches}. He even withstood the pain of his foot being pricked and slept the rest of the afternoon!

Pool Playdate

What a fun playdate when AnnMarie came over with her Mommy and her new baby brother for lunch. AM and CDP play so good together- she just tells him where to go and what to do! He typically just obeys! Next time we'll get a picture of the baby brothers!

Two Weeks Old

Uncle JD

Uncle John David and Cousin Tristan came back through town tonight on their way home from the weekend at Mimi and Pop-Pop's. Uncle John David wanted to stop and meet baby Griffin. What a treat!

Do You Have to Go So Soon?

Pop-Pop came to visit for the day and pick up Aunt Kristi. Pop-Pop loves to just sit and hold {and stare at} all his little grandsons. We're lucky to have Pop-Pop!

The Holmans came to town and made time to come meet Griffin. We sure do miss our Dallas friends!

Meeting Many

This weekend we will have several guests come see Griffin and play with Creighton.

Pappy and Mammy came to visit.

Of course, the trike and the scooter (the gift Griffin brought Creighter at the hospital) are not used as a trike and a scooter. Tonight, they are a truck and a trailer...can't you see it?

Sweet!

Aunt Rhonda and the girls happen to be in the USA and wanted to come see Griffin before they head back to Saudi Arabia! How lucky that they came to stay the night with us and to help pamper me {and vaccum & mop} and see their second cousins.

After Aunt Rhonda left, Griffin and I helped host a baby shower for the upcoming arrival of Ainsley Grace. She will be here so very soon!

I guess Creighton wanted to read his little brother a book! He selected, "You Are My I Love You!" I can't believe it's already been one whole week since I saw this sweet face. I love you, my little peanut.

Welcome To Our World, Little Griffin Lewis

At 12:52 today, we met our little Griffin face-to-face. He weighs 6 lbs. 9 oz. and is 19.5 inches long. He's more than we could even imagine and we're so incredibly blessed he's in our world.

A Bit of A Birth Day Celebration

Creighton and I made a cake this morning before church to celebrate the upcoming "Birth Day" of our little Griffin. Tomorrow afternoon, Creighter will meet his little brother.

Our Last Supper

Our last supper without Griffin with these crazy little tots! Sawyer, Reese Elaine, Mug and Creighter will all have a new dinner playdate. We can't wait!
