Simple Saturday

When our big plans were changed today, we had nothing else on our calendar, so we just stayed around the house and got some stuff marked off the To-Do list. Mowing the lawn with Daddy is a weekly favorite! In fact, today, he had to wear a sleeveless shirt just like his Daddy. He loves to "mow and mow and mow" and then blow off the grass with his blower (which is this stick). Starting to wash all our baby clothes to put into Griffin's closet. Oh, that smell of Dreft, I heart it so! While the boys mowed, I started to organize the boys' closets with fresh, clean clothes and organized with only the sizes they should be in right now! What a task and as you can tell, I have a ways to go!
After showers and lunch, we headed to the store to buy Creighton some new shoes. These are, guess what, his "mowin' shoes." He is so proud of them and does not want to take them off! I feel like a really horrible mother, because his previous tennis shoes (Stride Right ones given to him for Christmas after his first birthday) were size 7 and today, we had to buy size 9! He's been squeezing his big foot in those shoes for over a year now!

Busy Body

Up by seven, in his mowing clothes ("like Pop-Pop wears") outside mowing the lawn, only to weedwack and blow when he was finished. This kid loves yardwork!
While I was away getting a pedicure, Benjie recieved a surprise call from our friends, The Holmans. They were in town for the weekend, so we headed to their parent's house for some swim time, dinner and dessert.Creighton wasn't bothered at all by the water. In fact, while holding him, Benjie just ran and jumped off the side of the pool. A bit shocked, Creighton wanted to be upset, but instead, he just continued to play in the water.

Jon spent the night with us tonight and Creighton got some good play time in with him before going to bed!

Another Day in A-Town

When Benjie went to work in A-Town again, Creighton and I went along for the day. While, I wanted to just stay put at home, I decided to head to town to register for Baby Griffin's shower at the end of the month. While I had such fun hanging out with Aubrey & Ava at the gift shops, Creighton played with Mimi and Grandma Jimmie for hours, and I mean from when we arrived at 9 in the morning until we left at 5 in the evening, outside in the backyard.

School's Out for the Summer

Our first experience with school went wonderfully for Creighton and his class with Ms. Charlotte and Ms. Sherry!

Memorial Day Memories

Spending the day with our friends is such fun! We started out at breakfast and lasted through nap time! Sadly, these were the only pictures I took of our fun filled day!

All The Roomies Reunite!

We all ended our super fun weekend with brunch/lunch at Olive Branch before everyone headed back home either North or South down Interstate 35.

College Roomates or College Sweethearts?

Roomie Retreat Begins

On the first night of our Roomie Retreat in Waco, waiting for the other two to arrive in town, we celebrated Kelly turning 30 at Ninfa's!

Bug Day!

My doodlebug enjoyed almost every activity during our day long theme day with bugs!

What Have I Done?

I turned my two year old into a photographer!

In fact, he often times says, "Mommy, come see this. I want to show you something. Don't take a picture though, Mommy, okay!"

Micro Machines

Today Creighton inherited Benjie's micro machines from when he was a little boy. I saved these from the doom of a family garage sale several years ago and finally got to pass them down to our little toot. He loves them!

Date Night Gone Bad

Benjie took Brent home from work and was supposed to pick up the Wilson kids so Mom and Dad could go on a date. However, little Mug cried for his daddy, and their date ended up being dinner with all seven of us at our house!

Building A Bird House

When Pop-Pop and Mimi left Aunt Kristi's house, they stopped at our house on their way back home to Abilene. Pop-Pop brought everything to build/assemble a bird house. Creighton even got to paint it when he was finished constructing the project.

Griffin's Goodies

If I can convince Benjie our second child doesn't deserve to have all of Creighton's hand-me-downs, here are the fabrics for Griffin's newly designed nursery. Creighton and I drove to Plano today to select the fabrics for his bedding, rocker, blanket, pillow and drapes. I'm in love and so ready for my little baby to sleep in his nursery.

Creighton's big boy room is going to be furnished in Pottery Barn Vintage Camo. It's really too cute and so fitting for our big boy!

More of these to come when my sister (AKA: the decorator) can come complete the rooms!

Barb's Backyard

Creighter and I made the drive to Dallas tonight to stay with Barbs (a friend I taught with in Dallas) and I can't even express in words how many giggles and how much attention this little guy got from everyone at Barbara's house.

Two Dollars

When we were in Abilene yesterday, Mimi gave Creighton a dollar for keeping his underoos dry all day! Today, I gave him another dollar for keeping them dry today---and we even wore big boy underwear in public with no accidents. When he woke up from his nap, we took his two dollars to Dollar General and he selected two toys on his own. I love to witness his process of elimination.

His recorder was actually broken when we got it home and opened it, so after dinner, we took him back for a new one. Can you believe a $1.00 toy wouldn't work??? The next one worked wonderfully and then we wondered why we didn't just let him keep the broken one and think that was how much noise was supposed to come out of the instrument.

A Day Outside

While we were in A-town today, Memaw came by for a visit. She had the opportunity to ride in the Gator (AKA: his work truck) with Creighton and Baby Jack. The fun of the day! This red "sports car" and this kid was being persnickety. A new word for Creighton to learn and the entertainment of his entire day! Now so brave to ride the riding lawn mower down the street when Pop-Pop mows their lawn. Seriously dramatic, this kid was on his last leg before a much needed nap took place!

How to Entertain Yourself

This is how I entertain myself, 27 weeks pregnant, at Mom and Dad's while Creighton is (supposed to be) taking a bath. Little did I know, he was out of the bath, in the picture with me (and Griffin)!

Moore Mule Rides

After a visit with Dr. Moore and my gestational diabetes test at week 27 weeks, Creighton invited Brodie over to play while his mommy ran some errands. I love their expressions and the way Brodie lets Creighton be in charge and never even acts like riding shot gun bothers him!

My Mother's Day

This is the only picture (thanks to Guckie) I have with Creighton (and Griffin) on my special day! Oh, how, even in the good and bad times, I love the role God granted me of being a mother.

Mini Road Trip

We loaded down the Horner's car today and drove to Dallas to see our friends (Blair, Cooper & Mason; Becky & Natalie; Me & Creighter; Sarah & Will; Kathryn, Karoline & Samuel) and visit the Dallas World Aquarium. Here are the mom's with their kids! The funnier picture would be all the husbands taking this picture!

Griffin Got Something New

Mammy sent this outfit from Abilene with Daddy today and this is officially his first new item. I can't wait to wash it and watch him wear it one day in August!

I realize more and more each day how much I adore Creighton's friends.

Baylor Ball Cap

Last night, Benjie had Creighton for a daddy night and after they ate at Chick-fil-a, they headed to Academy to look around for hunting supplies, I'm sure! Creighton came home with this cap and hasn't taken it off since!

All Boys!

With the Swine Flu and all, we decided to stay out of school today and have a play date at home. Colton and Kenley came over so Kendra could run some errands alone and Nic Nic brought Tristan and Reese for a short visit too. While the girls were being calm and quiet in the living room, the boys were jumping on the big boy bed and tearing up the place!

Would You Believe?

I didn't take one picture today, because Benjie took my camera to work for some advertising photographs of the owners.

Can you believe the guys all borrowed Benjie's shirt and tie and wore the exact same outfit for their individual pictures? If you know them, yes, you can believe it!

What A Pair!

These two little friends were together from nine in the morning until nine this evening! We started at breakfast and ended with bath time. Uncle Brent took them home after breakfast and then brought them to me around nap time. When they woke up, I took them to the YMCA to watch their dads play basketball and they were perfect!

When we drove through Wendy's on our way home, I couldn't help but laugh at their opposite food choices. Creighton said, "Um. Can I h ave a cheeseburger and Tristan wants one too." Tristan said, "Timbo, I want chicken nuggets." Then I asked them what they wanted to drink and Tristan said, "White milk!" Creighton of course said, "Chocket milk!"

Two friends. Two personalities. Two very different choices in just about everything they do!

Family Zoo Day

Nice weather, home for the weekend, and an almost expired zoo pass, gets all three (& a half) of us to the zoo this morning.
